These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Maskr, an adult UK-focused dating, hookup and community platform. By creating an account, browsing the site, uploading content, sending messages, using chat, joining forums, using galleries, requesting private gallery access, using location or distance matching, buying paid features where available, submitting reports or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Version: 1.0
Effective date: 15 April 2026

1. Adult-only eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Maskr.
  • You must provide an accurate date of birth and must not lie about your age.
  • You must not create, browse, message, upload, view adult content or access private galleries if you are under 18.
  • You must not help a minor access the service or adult content.
  • If UK-only access or signup controls are enabled, you must only use the service from an allowed UK location and must not bypass those controls.
  • We may request age assurance, photo verification or other checks where appropriate. Refusing checks may limit or end access.

2. Nature of the service

  • Maskr provides adult social networking, dating, hookup, messaging, profile, gallery, community, meets, clubs and venues features.
  • Users create their own profiles and content. We do not guarantee that users are genuine, safe, local, available, compatible, honest, verified or acting in good faith.
  • Verification, badges, staff roles, VIP or Plus labels, private gallery access and moderation actions are not guarantees of identity, background, safety, health status, intentions or lawful conduct.
  • Location and distance tools are approximate. They may be wrong because of manual entries, browser permissions, device settings, VPNs, signal issues, stale data or user choices.
  • We do not guarantee matches, messages, replies, views, meetings, events, relationships, hookups, club listings, venue accuracy, uptime or uninterrupted access.

3. Your account responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep important details up to date.
  • You must keep your login details secure and tell us quickly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • You must not share, sell, lend or transfer your account.
  • You must not create fake profiles, impersonate another person, impersonate staff, misrepresent your age, use stolen photos or create accounts for other people.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account unless you can show it was caused by unauthorised access outside your reasonable control.
  • We may limit duplicate accounts, suspicious accounts, dormant accounts, banned users and accounts linked to abuse, fraud or safety risks.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not use the service for any of the following.

  • Minors, underage users, child sexual abuse material, grooming, exploitation, youthful-looking sexual content or any content that suggests a person involved may be under 18.
  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, hate, abuse, humiliation, coercion, blackmail, sextortion, revenge porn, image-based abuse or doxxing.
  • Sharing, reposting, screenshotting, copying or distributing private messages, private gallery content, verification images or another user's photos without permission.
  • Illegal content, non-consensual sexual content, hidden-camera content, trafficking, exploitation, coercion, prostitution, escorting, paid sexual services or commercial sexual services.
  • Scams, romance fraud, spam, phishing, malware, fake investment or crypto approaches, off-platform payment scams, chargeback fraud or attempts to obtain verification codes.
  • Drug dealing, controlled substance sales, weapons threats, violence, incitement, instructions for wrongdoing or serious criminal activity.
  • Scraping, crawling, harvesting, automated account creation, data mining, reverse engineering, security probing, rate-limit bypassing or attempts to access private systems.
  • Uploading content you do not own, do not have permission to use, or that violates privacy, copyright, trade marks, publicity rights or confidentiality.
  • Interfering with reports, moderation, age checks, payment systems, location controls, owner settings, staff tools or security features.

5. Consent, privacy and adult conduct

  • Consent matters online and offline. Do not pressure, coerce, threaten, manipulate, shame or harass anyone into replies, photos, private gallery access, sexual discussion, meetings or sexual activity.
  • A user can withdraw consent, block you, report you or stop replying at any time.
  • Private gallery access is permission to view inside the service. It is not permission to copy, download, screenshot, repost, sell or share that content elsewhere.
  • Do not expose another user's identity, sexuality, profile, messages, location, workplace, routine, health information, verification status, private gallery or account activity without permission.

6. User content and licence

  • You keep ownership of content you upload, post or send, subject to rights you have granted to others.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, resize, crop, watermark where enabled, display, transmit, moderate, restrict, remove and technically adapt your content as needed to operate, secure, improve and enforce the service.
  • This licence continues as needed for backups, moderation records, reports, legal compliance, dispute handling, abuse prevention, payment records and legal claims.
  • You confirm that you have all rights, permissions and consents needed for every identifiable person and every item of content you upload or share.
  • We may remove, blur, restrict, reject, delete, quarantine or disable content at any time where we believe it may breach these Terms, the Photo & Upload Policy, the Guidelines, safety rules, law, rights of others or platform integrity.

7. Photo verification, age controls and trust signals

  • Where verification or age assurance is enabled, you must follow the instructions honestly.
  • Verification photos, age checks, badges, staff review or other trust signals do not guarantee a user's identity, background, safety, health, intentions, location or behaviour.
  • We may reject, expire, revoke or require resubmission of verification where images are unclear, inconsistent, suspicious, outdated, incomplete or policy-breaking.
  • Attempting to fake verification, use another person's image, use AI-manipulated evidence or bypass age controls may lead to immediate suspension or permanent ban.

8. Messaging, forums, chatrooms, meets and clubs

  • Messages, chatrooms, forums, meets, clubs and venues must follow these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
  • Forum and chatroom posts may be moderated, removed, rate-limited, locked or retained where needed.
  • Meets, events, clubs and venue listings are user or owner-managed community features unless clearly stated otherwise. We do not guarantee attendance, safety, suitability, legality, venue quality or organiser behaviour.
  • Keep early conversations on platform where possible, use the block tools, and report pressure, threats, scams or unsafe behaviour.

9. Moderation and enforcement

We may use staff review, owner tools, automated checks, rate limits, upload controls, report workflows, audit logs, payment checks, device and IP signals, moderation notes and safety tools to protect users and the platform.

Moderation actions may include:

  • content removal, blurring, rejection, takedown or restriction;
  • warnings, reminders, mutes, rate limits or feature restrictions;
  • private gallery restrictions, upload restrictions or verification requirements;
  • temporary suspension, permanent ban, shadow restriction or account closure;
  • preservation of evidence and reports to payment providers, regulators, police, courts or other authorities where required or justified.

We are not required to disclose internal staff notes, anti-abuse rules, risk scoring, security logic or every detail of a moderation decision. False, malicious or abusive reports may also lead to action.

10. Billing, subscriptions and paid features

  • Where paid plans, billing, subscriptions or checkout are enabled, plan features, price, duration, currency, renewal position and cancellation route should be shown before purchase or at checkout.
  • Payment may be handled by Stripe, PayPal, manual processing or another provider depending on the site configuration. Provider terms may also apply.
  • Unless clearly stated at checkout, paid access does not guarantee matches, messages, replies, meetings, verification approval or moderation outcomes.
  • If auto-renewal is offered, renewal terms, renewal price, cancellation route and reminder requirements must be presented in line with applicable UK consumer law and dating-service guidance. If auto-renewal is not enabled, no auto-renewal right is claimed by these Terms.
  • You must not abuse payments, use stolen payment details, submit false chargebacks, manipulate provider metadata or attempt to obtain paid features without paying.
  • Refunds are handled according to the purchase terms shown at checkout, applicable payment provider rules and UK consumer law. Nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights that cannot legally be removed.
  • We may change prices or plan features. Where a change materially affects paid users, we will use reasonable steps to give notice and cancellation options required by law.

11. Consumer rights

If you buy paid services as a UK consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, distance-selling rules and other consumer protection laws may give you rights that cannot be excluded. Digital services should be as described, provided with reasonable care and skill where applicable, and sold using clear pricing and fair terms. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and CMA guidance may also be relevant to pricing, renewal, cancellation, reviews and online dating service practices. These Terms should be read subject to those rights.

12. Privacy and cookies

  • The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is used.
  • The Cookie Policy explains cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies.
  • You must not misuse another user's personal data obtained through the service.

13. Service availability and changes

  • We may change, suspend, withdraw, restrict or discontinue features, pages, plans, routes, tools or account types for operational, legal, safety, security or business reasons.
  • Maintenance, outages, bugs, host issues, security controls and third-party provider issues may affect access.
  • We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, permanently available or compatible with every browser, device, VPN or location.

14. Limitation of liability

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights where exclusion is not permitted, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of reputation, loss of data, emotional distress caused by user conduct, failed meetings, user dishonesty, third-party content, payment-provider issues or events outside our reasonable control.
  • Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, except where the law does not allow that limit.

15. Ending your account

  • You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through account tools or support.
  • We may suspend or close accounts where needed for safety, legal compliance, payment abuse, moderation, inactivity, security, platform integrity or breach of these Terms.
  • After account closure, we may retain limited records where reasonably needed for legal obligations, reports, moderation history, safeguarding, payment records, fraud prevention, audit logs, security, dispute handling or legal claims.

16. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you rights to use another UK court.

For legal notices, support, complaints or moderation appeals, contact privacy@localhost or use support.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when features, laws, regulator guidance, pricing, ownership, providers or operating practices change. Where changes are material, we may notify users by site notice, account notice, email or another suitable method. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
